We are committed to the longevity of our company, our people and our planet. And we understand that sustainability is the key to longevity. We understand that we must sustain our environment to benefit our business, our clients, our communities, and our future.Our initiatives include supporting local community activities. We are proud to support Clean Up Australia day. This year, we made a commitment to making our business environment cleaner and greener!
We are constantly striving to implement, at all levels of our business, procedures, systems, structures, and company policies that are sustainable and environmentally friendly. At the moment, we are concentrating on how our strategies and initiatives can impact:
● landscape management;
● materials recycling;
● energy management;
● water saving measures;
● building and refurbishment projects;
● fleet management; and
● the conservation of natural and cultural heritage.
At a management level, to understand our environmental impact and to put control measures in place, we:
● audited our paper, water, and energy consumption; and
● audited our recycling habits.
What did we do with this information? We put an action plan in place, and nominated an employee, in each office, to champion the plan. Our designated champions make sure that, in each office, we are:
● using printers responsibly, printing double side to reduce paper wastage,
and not needlessly printing emails;
● supporting recycling programs, such as paper recycling and printer cartridge recycling; and
● letting us know about any local environmental initiatives that we can
support.
Our people have a major role to play, and they really take ownership of our initiatives.
